Ongoing field recording project to capture the soundscapes of London’s canal network
For some time now I have wanted to explore the sounds of the canal network in London and the ever changing soundscapes that surround these placid waters. Once vital to the prosperity of the city and its people, these former veins of industry have since taken on a much different role to the public.
On the morning of Friday 5th January 2018, I decided to get started on the project and ventured out onto Regent’s Canal and headed East. Over the coming year, I will continue to explore the network and record more sounds for the collection.
